Samuel L. Jackson Set To Appear In The Last Full Measure
Of course, Jackson’s extensive oeuvre goes far beyond his role as scripture-quoting hitman Jules in the groundbreaking Quentin Tarantino film. He is currently known as SHIELD director Nick Fury in the movies that make up Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, had a supporting role as Mace Windu in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and reunited with Tarantino for his latest films Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight. Most recently, he is set to appear in Kong: Skull Island.
Jackson is hardly the first actor to be added to the cast of the planned movie. Among those already cast in the project are Academy Award-winner Christopher Plummer, William Hurt, Michael Imperioli, and Sebastian Stan, who is set to headline the film.
Comingsoon.net, the source of this story, shares the following description of the movie’s plot:
Based on the true story of a present-day cover-up investigation, The Last Full Measure follows young Pentagon investigator Scott Huffman (Stan) as he battles the political machine in Washington. He reluctantly teams with veterans of Operation Abilene to convince Congress to award the Medal of Honor to a courageous Air Force medic, William Pitsenbarger, who is seen saving the lives of over 60 Marines ambushed in one of the bloodiest battles of the Vietnam War.
