The Last House on the Left (2009) Movie Trailer

I really hoped I was hearing things when news came around about a remake for the 1972 horror classic The Last House on the Left. How could they bring that same brutality to the screen again? How could they bypass the MPAA? How could they make a film more vicious than Chaos? After watching the first trailer for The Last House on the Left (2009), I can say they didn’t, on all accounts. Not only did they implant a “survivor girl” into the original story, they gave away almost every plot twist in The Last House on the Left (2009) in the first trailer for it. I had hoped we had moved past this occurrence but I guess not. The official plotline for The Last House on the Left (2009) (Spoilers): “The night she arrives at the remote Collingwood lakehouse, Mari (Sara Paxton) and her friend are kidnapped by a prison escapee and his crew. Terrified and left for dead, Mari’s only hope is to make it back to parents John and Emma (Tony Goldwyn and Monica Potter). Unfortunately, her attackers unknowingly seek shelter at the one place she could be safe. And when her family learns the horrifying story, they will make three strangers curse the day they came to The Last House on the Left.” The one bright spot in all this is that The Last House on the Left (2009) director, Dennis Iliadis, is supposedly good as is one of his previous films, Hardcore. What do you think of the The Last House on the Left (2009) trailer and the film in general?
