THE LAST TIME YOU HAD FUN (2014): Indie Comedy Announces Its Cast

Mo Perkins’ new film, The Last Time You Had Fun, rounds out the cast of her next inde-comedy. Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Eliza Coupe, Demetri Martin, and Kyle Bornheimer, join the cast. The Last Time You Had Fun is about two men and women who meet in a bar and decide to leave their spouses, exes, and responsibilities for a night on the town in a stretch limo. Charlyne Yi, Jimmi Simpson, and Todd Berger also star.

This is Perkins’ second collaboration with Ellis; she previously starred in Perksin’ last film A Quiet Little Marriage. Ellis also co-wrote the script for A Quiet Little Marriage. Ellis is best known for her recurring role as “The Waitress” on the FX comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Demetri Marin is best known for his work from In A World… and Kyle Bornheimer from Bachelorette.

Mo Perkins is best known for directing a Quiet Little Marriage in 2008. A Quiet Little Marriage won the Best Narrative Feature award at the 2009 Slamdance Film Festival.

Hal Haberman wrote the screenplay from which Perkins will direct. Drea Clark, who collaborated with Perkins on ITVS project Futurestates and is a former executive director of the Slamdance Film Festival, is producing the picture.

Filming is currently underway in Los Angles.

Mo Perkins penned and directed Futurestates. For season 3 Perkins worked on an arc about the character Laura Keller. The synopsis is described as “with global population at an extreme high, federal fertility lottery now determine who can and can’t reproduce. When one woman learns that she will be permanently sterilized, her faith in the system is shaken.” Perkins’ episode of Futurestates can be seen here.
