Dakota Johnson And Bruce Dern Join The Peanut Butter Falcon

Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson and The Hateful Eight‘s Bruce Dern will appear in The Peanut Butter Falcon.

Although she hasn’t acted in quite as many as productions as the prolific Dern, Johnson is nevertheless building a name for herself as a reliable talent. Making her feature film debut in 1999’s Crazy in Alabama, she didn’t appear in a movie again until 2010 when she played a minor role in The Social Network. Since then, Johnson has acted in 21 Jump Street, The Five-Year Engagement, and Black Mass. Dern, of course, has appeared on the big screen since the 1960’s, receiving two Academy Award nominations for his performances in Coming Home and Nebraska.

The two actors join Shia LaBeouf in the planned adventure film from the directorial team of Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz. No release date has been offered for the movie at this point., the source of this story, shares the following information about it:

Armory Films’ Tim Zajaros and Christopher Lemole will produce and finance the film, alongside Bona Fide Productions’ Academy Award-nominated Albert Berger and Academy Award-nominated Ron Yerxa (Little Miss Sunshine, Nebraska), Academy Award winner T-Bone Burnett (Crazy Heart), Lije Sarki, and David Thies. Burnett will also produce the soundtrack.
