THE PREDATOR (2018): Yvonne Strahovski Signs On To Film

Yvonne Strahovski Set To Play Role In The Predator

I, Frankenstein actress Yvonne Strahovski has been added to the cast of Shane Black‘s planned cult classic series reboot The Predator.

In addition to appearing in I, Frankenstein, Strahovski has also had a number of notable appearances on the small screen. Indeed, fans of the NBC action-comedy series Chuck will recognize her as Sarah Walker, the CIA agent who acts as the title character’s handler. Additionally, she appeared in 17 episodes of Showtime‘s Dexter as a love interest of the murderous anti-hero in the show’s seventh and eighth seasons and even received a Saturn Award for her performance.

Like much about the highly-anticipated reboot, the character the Chuck star has been cast as is unknown. The little that has been revealed about the project comes from producer John Davis, who described both the writing and perspective of the production as “fresh” and promised the final product will make viewers look at the series in a way they never did before.

Film lead Boyd Holbrook recently made headlines when he dispelled previous reports that the movie was a sequel and instead seemed to suggest it would be a proper reboot, as Superherohype reports:

“I’m currently working on Predator, it’s not a sequel,” Holbrook said recently. “Shane Black has made something totally new, somehow keeping within the realm of ‘Predator’ [while also being] absolutely new in terms of the story that we’re talking about today, and rooted in something real.
