He has had notable appearances in Frost/Nixon, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Alice in Wonderland, 30 Rock, and Showtime‘s Masters of Sex. Meanwhile, Monaghan made her mark as Maggie Hart in the first season of True Detective.

Described as “part-dramedy” and “part-existential thriller” by Comingsoon.net, the movie will see Sheen play Harold Sugar, a playwright struggling to cope with middle age and marriage troubles. His wife Eliza, who will be played by Monaghan, longs for a family and career of her own but Harold’s gradual descent into madness jeopardizes both of their happiness.

Per Comingsoon.net:

“‘The Price of Admission’ is a brilliant, comedic dive into the mind of a playwright mounting a much anticipated play about his life while that life unravels around him scene by scene,” say Armian and Foster. “The combination of the incomparable Michael Sheen and the glorious Michelle Monaghan gives this film its cinematic heartbeat and we could not be more honored to collaborate with this team.”
