Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, And Giorgia Whigham Join Season 2 Of The Punisher
Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, and Georgia Whigham have all been cast in season 2 of Netflix’s original series The Punisher.
The three will act alongside John Bernthal, who plays the titular role. Stewart is set to play the collected-but-dangerous John Pilgrim, Lima will portray psychotherapist Krista Dumont, and Whigham will appear as the shady Amy Bendix.
The series is based on the classic Marvel character, who has been the subject of controversy since his first appearance in 1974. Frank Castle’s (the real name of The Punisher) willingness to resort to unspeakable brutality in his war against crime has set him apart from other Marvel characters.
Superherohype quotes Jeph Loeb and Steve Lightfoot as saying the following about the casting of Stewart, Lima, and Whigham:
“Josh, Floriana and Giorgia are all remarkable talents and we can’t wait for the audience to see what we have in store for them in the second season of Marvel’s The Punisher,” said Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television.
“We are incredibly excited to have Josh, Floriana and Giorgia joining the cast of Marvel’s The Punisher and seeing them bring their talents to the next chapter in the Frank Castle story,” added Steve Lightfoot, Showrunner and Executive Producer.
