The Road Movie Trailer

the-road-trailer-header

The Road Trailer has finally been released and it was worth the wait. The film stars Viggo Mortensen, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Charlize Theron and is directed by John Hillcoat, who directed The Proposition. Also of note is that the film is based on the post-apocalyptic tale of the same name by Cormac McCarthy, you also wrote No Country for Old Men. The Road synopsis: “A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. It is cold enough to crack stones, and, when the snow falls it is gray. The sky is dark. Their destination is the coast, although they don’t know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing: just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a cart of scavenged food and each other.” If you have seen The Proposition, you know The Weinstein Company certainly choose the right director to bring The Road to the big screen.
