The Tillman Story Movie Trailer has premiered. The Tillman Story was directed by Amir Bar-Lev and was written by Mark Monroe. The Tillman Story‘s plot synopsis: “Pat Tillman never thought of himself as a hero. His choice to leave a multimillion-dollar football contract and join the military wasn’t done for any reason other than he felt it was the right thing to do. The fact that the military manipulated his tragic death in the line of duty into a propaganda tool is unfathomable and thoroughly explored in Amir Bar-Lev’s riveting and enraging documentary. ” Gotta say I am intrigued by this. Why play with the legacy of someone that gave up everything to defend his country? To make him a poster boy? A flag to rally behind? Thank God for hungry reporters and documentary directors. I hope this gets as wide an opening as Fahrenheit 9/11. The Tillman Story opens on August 20, 2010.
