THE WALKING DEAD: AMC TV Show Renewed for Season 5

The Walking Dead Season 4

The Walking Dead Renewed for Season 5. This recent AMC news answers the question of whether or not the cable TV station would renew the horror television show. The 5th season of The Walking Dead will be comprised of the same number of episodes as season four and will begin to air in 2014. This renewal news came as little surprise with the record breaking premiere The Walking Dead: Season 4 just recently enjoyed.

AMC president Charlie Collier on The Walking Dead‘s renewal:

We are very happy to make what has to be one of the most anti-climactic renewal announcements ever:  The Walking Dead is renewed for a fifth season. Its expanding base of passionate fans has grown every season, most recently – and most notably – with the season four premiere earlier this month, which broke viewership records for the series and became the biggest non-sports telecast in cable history. On behalf of the incredible team on both sides of the camera, thank you to the fans and here’s to more Dead.

On the people behind the seasons of season 5:
