THE WALKING DEAD: Midseason Poster Leaves Cryptic Clue for Fans

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead Unleashes New Poster for Midseason Premiere. AMC’s highest rated TV show The Walking Dead won’t be back till February, but that doesn’t mean the network won’t tease fans with a new poster. Tensions are high as we anticipate the show’s return.

The Walking Dead Season 5B

In the new poster, we see a map written with the words “The New World’s Gonna Need Rick Grimes”, which is what Abraham left Grimes with before he left for Washington. Behind the map, we see Rick front and center with his group not too far behind. We last saw the group heading out from the church with side character Morgan who has just caught up to them as he follows their trail. We don’t know what will happen when the show returns, but fans won’t have to worry once the zombie hit returns in February.

If you look at the map closely, you can see a clue in regards to where Rick’s group will end up next. Based on that, it seems that the next stop will be the Alexandria Safe-Zone, a suburb in Washington, D.C. where the group have spent most of their time in according to the comics.

Other than the poster, executive producer Scott Gimple spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about what to expect from Morgan during the second half of the season.

He has that map and it means something… He has this massive breadcrumb. Now, Rick and his group aren’t necessarily on their way to D.C. but it’s something. Morgan knows Rick Grimes could be alive and could be somewhere nearby and perhaps on that path. It’s something. Morgan sat there and he prayed [in the church] and then he laughed at the idea of praying and then he found that map. So perhaps it’s divine intervention.

What do you guys think of the new poster? The Walking Dead returns February 5th on AMC.
