TWC-Dimension Begins Shooting Principal Photography For The War With Grandpa

TWC-Dimension says that it has started shooting for its upcoming Robert De Niro comedy vehicle The War With Grandpa.

De Niro is far from the only notable name attached to the project. Pulp Fiction‘s Uma Thurman, True Memoirs of an International Assassin‘s Rob Riggle, Stepford WivesChristopher Walken, and Machete‘s Cheech Marin are all set to appear in the planned family comedy. Also joining the film are Oakes Fegley, Jane Seymour, and Faizon Love.

Based on the novel of the same name by Robert Kimmel Smith, the movie features a screenplay by Tom J. Astle, Matt Ember, and Dave Johnson. Marro Films’ Marvin Peart, Rosa Peart, and Phillip Glasser are serving as producers., the source of this story, shares the following plot synopsis of the movie:

Peter (Oakes Fegley) and his Grandpa (Robert De Niro) used to be very close, but when Grandpa Jack moves in with the family, Peter is forced to give up his most prized possession, his bedroom. Peter will stop at nothing to get his room back, scheming with friends to devise a series of pranks to drive him out. But Grandpa doesn’t give up easily and before long, it’s an all out war! This coming-of-age family comedy is based on the bestselling book by Robert Kimmel Smith and is directed by Tim Hill (Alvin and the Chipmunks, Hop).
