The Wolverine Train Fight Clip. James Mangold‘s The Wolverine (2013) extended train fight sequence movie clip stars Hugh Jackman. In The Wolverine‘s bullet train clip, Logan faces off against a gang and is eventually battling them on top of the train.
On train sequence and its inclusion in Mangold’s film:
The footage is more glossy and colorful…this is a studio summer film that has to be sold to as many people as possible…And so there’s a fight scene on a bullet train — one of many additions to the story, and one of the big ones that looks least like the original source story.
So the writer and producers of The Wolverine include an entire sequence not found anywhere in the Chris Claremont, Frank Miller book. interesting. I have to say though, the sequence is gripping. It will certainly put posteriors in the seats on opening weekend.
The Wolverine‘s plot synopsis: “Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.”
