Thor: Ragnarok Releases First Poster and Teaser Trailer

It’s been a while since we heard about Thor: Ragnarok and fans haven’t seen any footage or images, but now Marvel is ready to unveil it. We finally have our first teaser trailer for the upcoming third chapter for the God of Thunder as well as a colorful poster of Chris Hemsworth as Thor.

Fans have gotten a surprise this morning with a pretty amazing first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok. Even though it doesn’t reveal too much regarding the plot, we do find out that Cate Blanchett’s Hela has taken over Asgard and smashed Thor’s trusty hammer Mjolnir to pieces. We also get to see some returning characters like Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and some new ones including warrior and Thor’s love interest Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and the gun-totting Skurge (Karl Urban). Fans also get a glimpse of Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster who pits Thor in the arena against an old friend in the form of Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), however their reunion isn’t going to be a happy one as everyone hoped. In the background, we hear the amazing music of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Immigrant Song’, certainly something that Thor faces as his kingdom falls to ashes.

Besides the teaser, we also have the poster of Thor in his traditional garb with a helmet in his hand surrounded by thousands at the arena prepared for battle. Check out the teaser trailer and poster and share your thoughts on them. Are you excited for Thor: Ragnarok later this year?
