If you’re keen on my thoughts regarding this film and all other plastic products mass-produced for poor ignorant children and the deaf elderly victims chaperoning them to see these things, feel free to read my previous entry regarding the first teaser trailer here. In case you’re too lazy to click, let me reiterate:

“I was not a fan of the Alice In Wonderland remake directed by Tim Burton and starring the bizarro version of Johnny Depp that consumed one of my favourite actors of all time. In actuality, I did not watch the film, as mere clips and advertisements for it made me turn my head away in disappointment and sadness. The original animated film is an incredibly surreal, beautifully crafted, incredibly captivating piece of art. The book is a wonderful trip through time and the imagination of author Lewis Carroll. The film, it seemed to me, was a commercial for McDonald’s value meals and a piece of media created for airplane TVs. It was made to shut up little children in the back of minivans. I may be wrong, but…I really don’t think I am.”

Through The Looking Glass also stars Helen Bonham CarterAnne Hathaway, Michael Sheen, Sacha Baron Cohen, Toby Jones, and Rhys Ifans.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
