The Tick Trailer for Amazon’s TV Series

Amazon‘s The Tick (2017) TV show trailer stars Peter Serafinowicz, Griffin Newman, Valorie Curry, Jackie Earle Haley, and Yara Martinez. The Tick‘s plot synopsis: based on the comic book by Ben Edlund, “In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, the new The Tick series follows an underdog accountant with zero powers who comes to realize his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero.”

Like the New Warriors TV series, The Tick has all the making of a great, live-action superhero comedy. The snippets of comedy that this trailer tries to convey does not do justice the actual comedy in the series. I watched the pilot episode of the series last August and reviewed it here: The Tick: Season 1, Episode 1: Pilot Review.

From the pilot episode of The Tick until now, they have upgraded The Tick’s costume but the tone of the series seems exactly the same.

The Tick also stars Brendan Hines, Ryan Woodle, Kahlil Ashanti, Paul Moon, John Pirkis, Joshua Schubart, Geoffrey Cantor, Matt Gehring, Dawn McGee, Richie Moriarty, Juliet Adair Pritner, and Nathaniel Beal.

On the people behind-the-scenes of The Tick:

Patrick Warburton…executive produces along with Ben Edlund, Barry Josephson and Barry Sonnenfeld. Edlund, who created The Tick, is also writing the new series.
