THE TICK: First Stills Emerge from Rebooted Series [Amazon]

Peter Serafinowicz The Tick Title

First Images from Amazon’s The Tick Reboot Surfaces. Amazon has just released some new photos from the upcoming The Tick reboot, which will star comedian Peter Serafinowicz as the titular hero made famous by Patrick Warburton in the original series.

Along with the images, Amazon also announced a release date for the new series, which will be on August 19. The first photo features Brendan Hines as Superian talking with Whoopi Goldberg, who may be appearing as herself in the pilot. The other photo shows off Peter Serafinowicz in costume as The Tick.

Fans weren’t happy when Patrick Warburton wouldn’t be reprising his role as the do-gooder, but with Peter’s great following in the geek community, that should give people a reason to check it out. We also have a synopsis from the reboot:

In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an underdog accountant with zero powers comes to realize his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero.

Check out the images and let us know what you think.
