TITANS: TNT Series to Shoot Pilot Next Year

Teen Titans

TNT’s Titans to Begin Shooting Next Year. Ever since the announcement of Teen Titans being made into a TV series for TNT, there hasn’t been an update on the potential series until now. DC Entertainment‘s Geoff Johns has just announced that Titans will start shooting it’s pilot next year.

On Twitter, the Creative Chief Officer answered a fan’s question about any possible updates on Titans, in which Johns replied, “We shoot the pilot next year!” This should please many fanboys who want to see the famous Teen Titans on the small screen. The fictional superhero team gained popularity during its run as an animated series back in 2003.

In a follow-up tweet, Johns added, “Long time coming to get Nightwing to live action.” This tweet could mean that Nightwing may have been cast, but we won’t know until we get more updates, which could be in a few months.

Titans came into fruition back in September with Akiva Goldsman and Mark Haimes as executive producers. The show will be based off of the New Teen Titans comics, which focuses on Dick Grayson trying to emerge from Batman’s shadow as Nightwing and becomes a leader of a band of heroes, with members including like Starfire and Raven.
