Dominic West

Dominic West to Play Lara’s Father in Tomb Raider Reboot

Audiences will learn the face of Lara Croft’s (Alicia Vikander) father with actor Dominic West to portray the role in the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot. This should shed some light on Lara’s past as the film is looking deep into the origins of our globe-throttling heroine.

The Hollywood Reporter first revealed that the cast has started growing with the addition of Dominic West. The British actor will play Sir Richard Croft, the father of Lara Croft and an adventurer herself. The film will be focusing on Lara’s attempts to clear her father’s name by finishing her father’s research and uncovering ancient secrets. Lara’s father was last portrayed by Jon Voight in the first Tomb Raider film, which starred Voight’s own daughter Angelina Jolie as the title character.

Dominic West is known for his role as Detective Jimmy McNulty in the critically acclaimed series The Wire and played Jigsaw in Punisher: War Zone. He can currently be seen as Noah Solloway in The Affair.
