Top 100 Movies of the ’90s: International Cinephile Society
International Cinephile Society‘s Top 100 Movies of the ’90s have appeared online. The International Cinephile Society is “an online group made up of 60 accredited journalists, film scholars, historians and other industry professionals who cover film festivals and events on five continents.” I love watching their top film of the ’90s, The Thin Red Line. I saw it in the theater with my father and I have it at home. The Thin Red Line is one of the war films I have watched the most. I love how Terrence Mallick gets into his characters heads and how he shows the beauty of the environment during the conflict. The cameos never bothered me in the slightest, though it did other critics. What would you have, no-names playing those parts? That is how noteworthy Mallick is: A-listers willing to take a part with a few lines and one scene. The ICS’s Top 100 Movies of the ’90s is as follows:
