Transformers 3: Michael Bay filming with PACE 3D Cameras

Michael Bay‘s Transformers 3 will be filmed with PACE 3D Cameras. I have to give Michael Bay credit, he listened to James Cameron about natively filming a movie in 3D and not adding it in post. Maybe Bay saw Clash of the Titans (2010) and said: “Hell no. Not my film, not my baby.”

MarketSaw got a big update from Vince Pace, the co-found of PACE, the company that makes the 3D cameras. He confirms that Transformers 3 is being shot in “native” 3D (not converted) and is using the PACE cameras.

Seeing the Autobots and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in 3D will be very interesting come next summer. Bay is certainly hedge his bets and potential ticket sales. Remember, they charge more per ticket when the film is in 3D, hence the new craze. I am sure the studio is a hundred percent behind Bay’s decision and supports it fully. Why won’t they? Any thoughts on Transformers 3 in 3D?
