The Transformers: Dark of the Moon Movie Trailer has premiered. Michael Bay‘s Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Transformers: Dark of the Moon’s plot synopsis: “the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth. The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft on the Moon and must race against the Decepticons to find it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers’ final battle.”
I actually like the sound effects from the Transformers: Dark of the Moon: Super Bowl TV Spot and the Transformers: Dark of the Moon: Nascar Daytona 500 TV Spot much better than the ones present in this movie trailer. The visuals, of course, are fantastic but the same can be said for the Day After Tomorrow and 2012‘s movie trailers and we all know how those spectacle films turned out. The scope of this Transformers film seems far bigger than Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and I’m happy to see Shockwave in the film. I would have been happier if the original voice for Shockwave, Corey Burton, had reprised his voice role.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon also stars Josh Duhamel, Patrick Dempsey, Kevin Dunn, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Lester Speight, Peter Cullen, Leonard Nimoy, James Avery, Mark Ryan, Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Dan Woren, Dana Snyder, and Ramón Rodríguez.
