Things have changed. Previously the Super Bowl was not only a premiere sporting event but also a marketing event that enthralled the masses. There were actually Americans that watched the Super Bowl simply for the commercials. When I was younger, I used to be amongst them. I was giddy to see each year, along with millions of others, what the brilliant marketing executives on Madison Avenue had come up with. The commercials always came at a high placement price tag so companies spent millions on them to make sure they got their moneys-worth. Most of the time, that production money showed and it was feast for the eyes.

With the advent of the Internet, some of that changed. This year, even more change. Some of those special Super Bowl ads are now being released online before they premiere live during the game. We published the Super Bowl 51 Ghost in the Shell TV spot yesterday and today we have the Transformers: The Last Knight Super Bowl TV commercial.

I have no idea what is going on in the Transformers film series now. I stopped watching the films after the lousy third installment. It looks like things have taken a change for the worse though in the Transformers ‘verse with Prime and Bumblebee battling each other. Is Prime being mind-controlled?
