While the identity of Cabrera’s role remains unknown, that of another character who was also announced today is. Drift, the samurai-styled Autobot who looks like a 2013 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and previously appeared in Transformers: Age of Extinction, is set to return in the upcoming film. It is unknown if Ken Watanabe, who voiced the character in Extinction, will similarly return to reprise the role, but it is known that it’s disguise will be changed into a Mercedes AMG GTR:
The Transformers: The Last Knight cast is also confirmed to include the return of Transformers: Age of Extinction star Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager, Josh Duhamel as Lieutenant Colonel Lennox, Tyrese Gibson as Robert Epps, as well as a new role for Isabela Moner (100 Things to Do Before High School, Growing Up Fisher) as the film’s female lead, Izabella. Jerrod Carmichael and Laura Haddock also have roles, with Sir Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs, Thor) playing an unspecified role as well.
A few of the titular robots in disguise have also been confirmed to return, including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and newcomer Sqweeks for the Autobots and Megatron and Barricade for the Decepticons.
