TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT (2017): Tyrese Gibson Ready To Return

Josh Duhamel Tyrese Gibson Transformers Dark Of The Moon

Tyrese Gibson set to reprise his role as Robert Epps in Transformers: The Last Knight. The Fast and Furious and Black Nativity star will once again play the grizzled soldier in the latest Transformers sequel.

Playing the role in the first three films of the series, Gibson acted alongside Josh Duhamel as one of the military men trying to contain the destruction inflicted by the giant robots running rampant across the planet. Gibson did not, however appear in Transformers: Age of Extinction, leading some to believe that his character had been written out of the movies. As today’s casting announcement shows, however, the actor will be appearing once again with Duhamel in the fifth installment of the Michael Bay franchise:

The Transformers: The Last Knight cast is also confirmed to include the return of Transformers: Age of Extinction star Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager, Josh Duhamel as Lieutenant Colonel Lennox, as well as a new role for Isabela Moner (100 Things to Do Before High School, Growing Up Fisher) as the film’s female lead, Izabella. Jerrod Carmichael and Laura Haddock also have roles, with Sir Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs, Thor) playing an unspecified role as well.

A few of the titular robots in disguise have also been confirmed to return, including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and newcomer Squeeks for the Autobots and Megatron and Barricade for the Decepticons.
