Tron Legacy is the sequel to Tron, a film I was never really wowed by. Over the years, the original has grown on me though. Perhaps it was ahead of its time, like Blade Runner. A new poster and photo has been released by Disney for Tron Legacy and we have both for you below. Tron Legacy‘s plot synopsis: “Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidante (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.” Tron Legacy is being directed by Joseph Kosinski and  also stars Bruce Boxleitner, Michael Sheen, and Beau Garett. So what do you think? Is Tron Legacy right on time now, relevant? God knows the CGI has caught up to the ambition of the original. Tron Legacy will be released on December 17, 2010, in regular format (I’m guessing), Disney Digital 3-D, and IMAX 3D.
