TV Casting: FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, GREY’S ANATOMY, Adria Arjona in EMERALD CITY

Fear The Walking Dead, Grey’s Anatomy, Emerald City, and other TV productions have made recent TV show casting, TV movie casting, and TV directing news. These shows and movies air on AMC, ABC, and NBC.

Winona Ryder and David Harbour have been set as leads in Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer’s untitled supernatural series for Netflix

The eight-episode series is set in the 1980s and is about a mystery surrounding a boy who vanishes into thin air and the ever-expanding government conspiracy that unravels in its wake.

Ryder will play the boy’s single mother while Harbour will play the town’s chief of police, tasked with investigating the disappearance.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC)

Martin Henderson (“The Red Road”) has been cast as a series regular on the ABC drama that recently killed off Patrick Dempsey‘s character, Dr. Derek Shepherd.

Paradise Pictures (USA)

Morgan Spector (Boardwalk Empire) is set to topline USA’s Hollywood period drama pilot Paradise Pictures, written/executive produced by Suits scribe Rick Muirragui

Spector will play Tom Kirby, the head of production at Paradise Pictures, a rising film studio in 1946 Hollywood. While he doesn’t own the studio it is obvious to everyone in town that he is in charge and that he is not afraid to get his hands dirty in order to elevate the studio into prominence.

Madoff (ABC)

Danny Deferrari and Stephen Gevedon have joined the cast of Madoff…Deferrari will play Madoff’s son, Andrew, who along with his brother alerted the feds to their dad’s scheme. Gevedon is money manager Robert Jaffe, the unctuous and unrelenting son-in-law of Madoff friend Carl Shapiro who uses his connections at the Palm Beach Country Club to entice Madoff to create a partnership.

Emerald City (NBC)

NBC’s revived “Wizard of Oz”-inspired “Emerald City” event series has found its Dorothy in “True Detective” star Adria Arjona

The drama, which received a straight-to-series, 10-episode order, offers a dark twist on the classic tale, telling the story of Dorothy Gale. The 20-year-old is transported to another world with her dog — this time, a police canine — to a mystical land of competing kingdoms, lethal warriors, dark magic and a bloody battle for supremacy.

Fear The Walking Dead (AMC)

Shawn Hatosy has booked a recurring role on AMC’s The Walking Dead companion series, Fear The Walking Dead…Hatosy…will play a well-intentioned but out of his element military man with a soulful disposition.

Chicago PD (NBC)

Madison McLaughin has been cast in a recurring role on NBC’s Chicago PD. She will play Michelle Carterini, a rough and tumble bad girl with a troubled past who is just looking for guidance and spends her time boxing. She is booked for the season finale and two additional episodes.
