TV Casting: GAME OF THRONES, POWERS, Peter Mensah in SLEEPY HOLLOW

House Of Lies (Showtime)

Wanda Sykes (Alpha House, The New Adventures of Old Christine) has signed on for a guest starring stint on the fifth season of Showtime comedy series House Of Lies. In addition, Ken Marino (Children’s Hospital, Marry Me) and Nicky Whelan (Matador, Franklin & Bash) also will guest star.

Sykes will appear in least three episodes as Wanda, a love interest for Jeremiah (Glynn Turman) who becomes a much-needed confidante for Marty (Don Cheadle) as he looks to ascend from management mogul to global power player. Whelan will play Klare, Marty’s raw food chef girlfriend.

Chicago Med (NBC)

Carl Lumbly has landed a recurring role in NBC’s upcoming medical drama “Chicago Med”

[Lumbly]…will play Bert Goodwin. The spouse of S. Epatha Merkerson’s Sharon, who is the venerable head of hospital at the center of the story, Bert is a once virile and robust man whose sudden physical ailment factors into his relationship with his wife and the hospital where she presides.

Un-Break My Heart (Lifetime)

Debbi Morgan (“Power,” “All My Children”) will play [Toni Braxton]’s mother, Evelyn, while Gavin Houston (“Guiding Light”) will play her frequent collaborator, producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. Cortney Scott Wright, Skye P. Marshall (“Public Morals”) and LaToya Franklyn (“Subways”) have also been cast as Braxton’s sisters and fellow singers, Traci, Towanda and Trina Braxton.

Game of Thrones (HBO)

Melanie Liburd has been cast as a Red Priestess [(possibly named Kinvara)] in HBO’s Game Of Thrones.

The Liburd character is separate and different from Van Houten’s major recurring character.

Sleepy Hollow (Fox)

Peter Mensah is…taking on a pivotal recurring guest starring role beginning in November and lasting through the end of the current season. He’ll play “The Hidden One,” an ancient, desiccated god who returns to the mortal world revived as a handsome, powerful menace with eyes that entrance and torment. His first appearance will be in the season’s seventh episode, airing November 12.
