Chris Cooper is among seven actors cast in 11/22/63

Cooper will play Al Templeton, he irascible owner of Al’s Diner, a mentor/friend to Jake. His appeal to save Kennedy sends Jake on his incredible mission. Also joining the cast: Daniel Webber as Oswald, one of the most discussed figures in American history and an enigma even to himself; Cherry Jones as Marguerite Oswald, Oswald’s mother who is as needy and difficult as her infamous son; George MacKay as Bill Turcotte, a young, guileless bartender from 1960s Kentucky who becomes Jake’s ally; Lucy Fry as Marina Oswald, Oswald’s Russian wife — a knockout and challenged to make her way in a foreign country with her unpredictable husband; and Leon Rippy as Harry Dunning, a kind, soft-spoken and damaged janitor at Jake’s school in 2015; his traumatic early life in the 1960s has a surprising impact on Jake.

The Half Of It (CBS)

Andrea Anders has been added to The Half Of It…Anders will play Megan, one of the female leads in the project. The role had been conceived as regular, but Anders was cast as a guest star as she already is a regular on another comedy pilot, NBC’s How We Live, which she just wrapped.

New Girl (Fox)

the Fox comedy has enlisted Fred Armisen, Stephen Rannazzisi and Ally Maki to guest-star

In an episode set to air next season, Portlandia’s Armisen will play a boarder when Nick (Jake Johnson) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) list the loft on Airbnb. Rannazzisi (The League) will portray an old college frenemy of Schmidt and Nick’s. Maki (TBS’ Wrecked) is set as a girl who has rented Nick’s room as part of the guys’ moneymaking scheme.

Law & Order: SVU (NBC)

Robert Sean Leonard is checking into Law & Order: SVU.

The House alum will guest star on a May episode of the NBC drama

Leonard will play ADA Kenneth O’Dwyer, who once sent a man to jail for raping his daughter. However, when the daughter chooses to recant her testimony, the case is reopened and O’Dwyer must return to defend the verdict after Ellis (returning guest star Andre Braugher) asks for a retrial. The episode will also welcome back former series regular Dann Florek.

Heroes Reborn (NBC)

Jimmy Jean-Louis is set for an arc on the upcoming Heroes Reborn event series, reprising his role as The Haitian.
