TV Casting: IZOMBIE, THE MESSENGERS, Jaime Murray in SLEEPY HOLLOW

iZombie, The Messengers, Sleepy Hollow, and other TV productions have made recent TV show casting, TV movie casting, and TV directing news. These shows and movies air on The CW and Fox.

Lumen (TNT)

Simon Kassianides (How To Train Your Dragon 2) is set as a series regular on TNT drama pilot Lumen, written by Chris Black and directed by Joe Johnson…Kassianides…will play Bevan Gravewood, the Captain of the Emperor’s Royal Guard in Lumen.

iZombie (The CW)

Aleks Paunovic (This Means War) has booked a heavily recurring role on the upcoming mid-season CW drama series iZombie from Warner Bros TV.

True Detective (HBO)

Ashley Hinshaw has been tapped for an arc on the upcoming second season of HBO’s True Detective…She’ll play a troubled starlet. Hinshaw’s TV credits include True Blood and Marvel’s Agent Carter and an upcoming episode of Workaholics. She is onscreen Fox’s feature The Pyramid.

The Messengers (The CW)

Winston Duke (Person Of Interest) has booked an arc on CW drama The Messengers…Duke…will play Zahir Zakaria, a fiery journalist from Mali who is determined to seek justice after an agricultural experiment by Plowman Family Farms goes wrong in a West African village. Duke will appear in the final three episodes with the potential to return next season.

Sleepy Hollow (Fox)

Jaime Murray…has been recruited to play a corpse-inhabiting evil spirit in the upcoming back half of Sleepy Hollow‘s second season

Murray will portray a vetala, or ghostly being from Hindu lore. She’ll appear in Episode 14, which is titled “Kali Yuga.”

In other Sleepy casting news, Sharif Atkins (White Collar, ER) has been cast as Calvin Riggs, the upright (and good-looking) photojournalist Michael Ausiello told you about a few weeks ago.

The Flash (The CW)

Star Wars’ Mark Hamill is returning to the Flash-verse as well – to reprise his role as James Jesse aka The Trickster!

Hamill, who portrayed Trickster on two episodes of the original series, will return for a brand new take on the Trickster character. The new Trickster will be “an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original’s deadly footsteps.”
