Rooney Mara is in advanced negotiations to star in the director’s upcoming HBO series “Utopia”

Fincher will direct every episode of the first season of the one-hour drama, which has been written by “Gone Girl” author Gillian Flynn.

Mara is nearing a deal to play Jessica Hyde on “Utopia,” which follows a group of die-hard fans of an iconic, underground novel who find themselves in their own pop-culture thriller when they learn that the author has secretly written a sequel. Those who seek it out are thrust into a twisted game in which nothing is as it seems, including the true meaning of the book.

All the Way (HBO)

Anthony Mackie has been set to play Martin Luther King Jr. in HBO’s adaptation of Broadway play “All the Way,” which stars Bryan Cranston as President Lyndon B. Johnson

Jay Roach is directing the adaptation.

Minority Report (Fox)

Nick Zano will now serve as co-lead on Fox’s “Minority Report,” playing Stark Sands’ fraternal twin, representing a departure from the creators’ initial plans.

The two roles were originally intended as identical twins, each played by Sands. Owing to reasons both creative and production related, Zano (“Happy Endings,” “2 Broke Girls”) has been cast as Arthur, the twin who uses his precognitive powers to consolidate personal wealth and power, while Sands will play Dash, who selflessly applies his abilities toward the prevention of murders.

House Of Cards (Netflix)

Neve Campbell…has joined the cast of the Netflix White House drama as a new series regular. Everyone is staying mum on the character Campbell will be playing. There had been speculation that Season 4 would introduce a new, younger couple to rival Frank and Claire.

Fresh Off The Boat (ABC)

Chelsey Crisp (Reconcilation, The Harvesting) has been promoted to series regular for the second season of ABC comedy Fresh Off The Boat. She plays the Huangs’ neighbor Honey…the 1990s-set series revolves around a Chinese family that moves to suburban Orlando. It centers on hip-hop-loving Eddie Huang, raised by an immigrant father (Randall Park) who is obsessed with all things American and an immigrant mother (Constance Wu) who is often bewildered by white culture.
