Powers, Rain, CSI: Cyber, Agents of SHIELD, and other television productions have all made recent TV show casting, TV movie casting, and TV directing news. These shows and movies air on CBS, USA, Showtime, Sony Playstation Network, A&E, and ABC.

Shad Moss, aka Bow Wow, will co-star opposite Patricia Arquette and James Van Der Beek in CBS‘ midseason series CSI: Cyber…Moss will play Brody “Baby Face” Nelson, a top hacker ordered by a judge to work with Special Agent Ryan “on loan” to assist with a cyber case or go to prison. Nineteen going on 20, CSI: Cyber Nelson is a savant with cyber intrusions. Growing up without any parental guidance, he joined “Hacktivist” groups for his extended family. His dilemma will be working for the Feds while trying to keep his fingertips out of the Deep Web where he was groomed to be one of the most prolific hackers in the world.

Mr. Robot (USA)

Niels Arden Oplev has been tapped to go behind the camera for USA’s pilot Mr. Robot. The hacking drama…centers on Elliot, a young programmer who suffers from a debilitating anti-social disorder and decides that he can only connect to people by hacking them.

Episodes (Showtime)

Andrea Savage (Step Brothers) has landed a major season-long arc opposite Matt LeBlanc on Showtime’s Episodes…Savage…ill play Helen Bash, the new head of the network who will make life more complicated for everyone.

Rain

Keanu Reeves is making a foray into television with Rain, an hourlong series from Slingshot Global Media based on the best-selling book series by Barry Eisler. The Matrix star will topline the globe-trotting action drama and will executive produce

Rain centers on John Rain (Reeves), Rain half-Japanese, half-American contract assassin who specializes in taking out his targets by making it look like death by natural causes. An outsider in whatever world he’s in, Rain ironically finds that the one identity he knows – that of being a hitman – is the very thing that prevents him from bringing others closer into his life.

Powers (Sony Playstation Network)

Sharlto Copley has been cast as the lead, Christian Walker, in Powers…Also cast in the direct-to-series project is…Michelle Forbes…It follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker (Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward), who are assigned to protect humans like us and investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as Powers…Walker is described as a dapper and charismatic faded hero who lost his powers in a battle with a super-human mass killer…Forbes plays Retro Girl, the undisputed super star of the Powers community, an icon of justice, selflessness, and business acumen.

Lachey’s Bar (A&E)

A&E Network has ordered “Lachey’s Bar,” a docuseries from former 98 Degrees band members and brothers Nick and Drew Lachey.

“Lachey’s Bar” will document the Lachey brothers as they attempt to open a bar in their hometown of Cincinnati despite the lack of business experience between the pair.

Agents of SHIELD (ABC)

“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” has cast Adrianne Palicki as Marvel hero Bobbi Morse (aka Mockingbird) in season 2

Mockingbird is described as a super-spy who will make her first appearance in the fifth episode of “SHIELD’s” second season — but she may not be an ally to the newly promoted Director Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team.

The introduction of Mockingbird was teased at the show’s recent Comic-Con panel in San Diego, where she was mentioned in a video clip featuring two of Patton Oswalt’s Agent Koenig characters.
