Brothers In Atlanta (HBO)

Brothers In Atlanta, a new comedy pilot written by and starring former Late Night With Jimmy Fallon writers/performers Diallo Riddle and Bashir Salahuddin

Maya Rudolph and actor-musician Jaden Smith are set as guest stars opposite Riddle and Salahuddin in the pilot, which will be directed by Tim Story. Brothers In Atlanta is a comedy about struggling entertainers and best friends Langston (Riddle) and Moose (Salahuddin) trying to navigate relationships and life in the black Mecca of Atlanta. An Atlanta native, Langston is an aspiring DJ whose career has stalled due to his lack of focus and his get-rich schemes. New to Atlanta, Moose is a perennial backup singer with dreams of the spotlight, who keeps his foot in his mouth.

Rudolph will play Shirle, Moose’s demanding boss, an R&B diva whose heyday was in the 90s. Smith will play Curtis, a “New Atlanta” teenager, who is Langston’s rowdy neighbor with unpredictable interests and suspicious income. Both are set to recur if the pilot goes to series.

Glenn Fleshler has joined the cast of NBC’s Hannibal

Fleshler will portray Cordell, the attentive and creepy doctor in Season 3. A character from Thomas Harris’ “Hannibal” novels, Cordell cares for the disfigured Mason Verger.

Here’s how the network describes Cordell:

The personal doctor to a disfigured Mason Verger, quiet, very intelligent, and definitely creepy. He is attentive and gentle with Mason, a professional who cares about his work but we get a sense he might be as sadistic as Mason Verger and a perfect fit to become his potential henchman

Rutina Wesley, of “True Blood,” signed on for the role of Reba McClane, a blind woman who is Dolarhyde’s last chance at humanity.

Jane The Virgin (The CW)

Rita Moreno has joined The CW’s “Jane the Virgin”
