The Hollow Crown (BBC)
Sophie Okonedo is set to star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in the next series of “The Hollow Crown,” the BBC’s Shakespeare adaptations…The actress will play Queen Margaret, the wife of Henry VI. Cumberbatch is the evil Richard, who kills Henry VI, and becomes Richard III, Baz Bamigboye reported in the Daily Mail.
Sons of Anarchy (FX)
FX drama “Sons of Anarchy” has cast musician Marilyn Manson in a recurring role for its upcoming seventh and final season…Manson will play Ron Tully, an imprisoned white supremacist shot-caller who Jax uses to expand his power base.
The Returned (A&E)
India Ennenga, will play opposite Mark Pellegrino in Carlton Cuse’s 10-episode A&E drama series The Returned. Ennenga will portray Camille, one of the twin daughters to Pellegrino’s Jack, a rugged father who loses his girls in a school bus crash four years prior.
The Newsroom (HBO)
Keith Powell has been cast on the final season of HBO’s The Newsroom in the recurring role of Wyatt Geary, the new Human Resources Vice President for AWM.
Mark L. Young (We’re The Millers) has landed a recurring role on HBO‘s The Comeback…The original show starred Kudrow as washed-up sitcom actress Valerie Cherish, who gets a reality show documenting her attempt at a career comeback. In the new episodes, Valerie will continue her search to attain the spotlight. Young…will play Tyler Beck, Valerie’s nephew and USC film student who is part of the camera crew shooting Valerie around Hollywood.
Hells On Wheels (AMC)
Jonathan Scarfe is set to heavily recur in the upcoming fourth season of AMCs Western drama series Hell On Wheels…Scarfe…will play Sydney Snow, an old war buddy to Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount), who has a knack for getting himself and others into sticky predicaments.
Jonathan Keltz has been promoted to regular for Season 2 of the CW period drama Reign. Keltz recurred throughout the first season as Leith, the kitchen love interest to lady-in-waiting Greer.
Texas Rising (History)
Kris Kristofferson has joined the cast of History’s miniseries Texas Rising (working title) from A+E Studios and ThinkFactory Media…Kristofferson will play President Andrew Jackson, who avoided direct U.S. involvement during the Texas Revolution, but he was a mentor to and admirer of General Sam Houston and realized the fate of Texas would profoundly influence the future of the United States.
