Shadowhunters, Doctor Who, The Good Wife, and other TV productions have made recent TV show casting, TV movie casting, and TV directing news. These shows and movies air on ABC Family, BBC, and CBS.

Reece Shearsmith…takes-up a guest role in a special episode of Doctor Who

Reece…returns to Cardiff for a part in an adventure written by Mark Gatiss, directed by Justin Molotnikov and produced by Nikki Wilson.

Reece will be joined by Elaine Tan (Eastenders, Entourage), Neet Mohan (All In Good Time, Desert Dancer),….and Paul Courtenay Hyu (Dalziel And Pascoe, Coronation Street).

Other guest cast for the new series, launching on Saturday 19 September, include Michelle Gomez, Maisie Williams, Rufus Hound, Ingrid Oliver and Rebecca Front.

Bethany Black….is set to play a non-transgender character in an episode

The Good Wife (CBS)

The Good Wife has added Peter Gallagher as a new lawyer. He will recur as Irving Carver, the witty, sophisticated attorney of conservative billionaire Reese Dipple (Oliver Platt), who’s been dispatched to Lockhart/Agos/Lee. He prefers civilized, intelligent debate over mindless bullying, but will use whatever it takes to assure that the firm is working to further his client’s agenda.

Modern Family (ABC)

Jeremy Maguire has joined Modern Family Season 7 in a recasting for the role of Fulgencio “Joe” Pritchett.

 The role has been played for the past two seasons by Pierce Wallace.

Guilt (ABC Family)

Billy Zane, Daisy Head, Zachary Fall (Crossing Lines), Katrina Law (Arrow) and Kevin Ryan (Copper) have landed series regular roles on the pilot, a fictional story that draws parallels to the story of Amanda Knox, the American student convicted, acquitted, retried and acquitted again of the gruesome murder of her British roommate in Italy. Guilt is described as an edgy, soapy thriller that revolves around an American in London who becomes the prime suspect in the savage murder of her roommate. As the investigation unfolds, the show will question whether she’s a naive young girl whose poor decisions are being magnified under the ruthless glare of the British tabloids or whether she’s a sociopath who brutally murdered her friend.

Kevin Ryan….plays Stan Gutterie, an American defense attorney working in London. His law firm banished him to the UK after he ran afoul of one too many judges in the U.S. Head is Grace, an American attending college in London when her Irish flat mate is found brutally murdered at their place. Fall plays Luc, Grace’s boyfriend in London; Law is Olivia, Grace’s older sister; and Ryan…plays Patrick, Molly’s older brother.

Guilt is a co-production of Sea to Sky Entertainment – the joint venture between Lionsgate TV and Thunderbird Films – and BV Family Prods in association with ABC Family.

Shadowhunters (ABC)

ABC Family’s “Shadowhunters” has cast Stephanie Bennett in a guest starring role

Bennett will play the role of Lydia Branwell

Lydia is described as a beautiful, no-nonsense young Shadowhunter who is an abrasive “badass.” She has known terrible loss in her life, and she has become driven and harsh as a result — but under her hard shell lies considerable vulnerability.

Fresh Off the Boat (ABC)

Rob Riggle will guest star on the second season of ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat”

The comedian will play a character named Gator Dan in the Season 2 premiere episode.

The series, set in 1995, revolves around 11-year-old, hip-hop-loving Eddie Huang (Hudson Yang) whose family has just moved from Washington, D.C.’s Chinatown to suburban Orlando, Florida, so that the family patriarch Louis (Randall Park) can follow his American dream of opening a Western-themed restaurant.
