Survivor’s Remorse, Proof, Matador, Grandchester, The Winklers, and other TV shows have all made recent TV show casting news. These shows air on El Rey, USA, Fox, CBS, ABC, NBC, FX, and TNT respectively.

Matthew Modine is set as a series regular in TNT pilot Proof…Modine, repped by APA and Untitled, will play Ivan Turing, a charming, eccentric, technology multi-billionaire facing a terminal cancer who is willing to apply all his resources to answering the question, is there anything beyond death?

Dig (USA)

Alison Sudolalison (A Fine Frenzy) has been tapped as a series regular on USA Network’s six episode event series DIG…Sudol, repped by Resolution and Dave Fleming at Mosaic, will play Emma Wilson, an American intern working on a dig site in Jerusalem who befriends Peter (Jason Isaacs).

Mission Control (USA)

Eric Nenninger has joined NBC’s pilot Mission Control…Nenninger…will play Gordie, an earnest, good looking member of Dr. Mary Kendrick’s (Krysten Ritter) crew.

Manhattan (WGN)

Michael Chernus…has been cast as a series regular on WGN America’s 13-episode..Chernus…will play Louis “Fritz” Fedowitz, one of the brilliant scientists assigned to Frank Winter’s team.

Sober Companion (Fox)

Nick Frost…as the lead opposite Justin Long in comedy pilot Sober Companion…Sober Companion centers on Robert (Frost), a charming, but self-destructive attorney who finds his world turned upside down when a court-appointed sober companion (Long) takes control of his life. Frost’s Robert is intelligent, driven and an addict. So drunk that he does a faceplant in court, he is assigned a sober companion for the next 90 days, and must either stay away from everything he deems to be fun, or lose his job and probably his liberty.

Cuz-Bros (CBS)

Debra Jo Rupp and Andrea Anders have joined Geoff Stults in CBS’ multi-camera odd couple comedy pilot Cuz-Bros…It centers on Nick (Stults), a successful, suave ladies man working as a sportscaster for a local Los Angeles TV station whose perfect life gets turned upside down when his mess of a cousin needs a place to stay. Rupp plays Merle, Nick’s sweet, no-nonsense, widowed mother who lives nearby. Anders plays Stacey, the smart, tough lead anchor of the local news in L.A. where Nick does the sports.

The Winklers (ABC)

Joseph A. Nunez…has booked a role in ABC comedy pilot The Winklers…Winklers centers on Jack (Domenick Lombardozzi), an emotionally reserved construction worker who learns about love, life and hugs while unexpectedly living with his in-laws — successful actor Henry (Winkler) and Tita Winkler (Judith Light), the fabulous, fierce momma bear of the family. Nunez will play Paco, a construction worker on Jack’s crew whose secret passion is dance.

Matador (El Rey)

Jonny Cruz…and Dylan Bruce…have been cast as recurring in the upcoming action drama series Matador…Matador chronicles the unlikely rise of Antonio “Matador” Bravo (Gabriel Luna), a popular soccer star who in reality uses his sports career for a cover as a skilled covert operative executing missions for a little-known branch of the CIA. Cruz…will play Ricky Bravo, Tony’s younger brother who’s currently in prison.

Grantchester (ITV)

James Norton…will play the lead role of Sidney Chambers, a charismatic clergyman who turns investigative vicar when one of his parishioners dies under suspicious circumstances…Robson Green…will join him as partner in crime Geordie Keating. Morven Christie, Tessa Peake-Jones, Kacey Ainsworth, Al Weaver, Pheline Roggan, Fiona Button, Ukweli Roach, Tom Austen and Pip Torrens also star.

Untitled Wall Street Drama Pilot (CBS)

John Cusack will guest star in his untitled CBS untitled Wall Street drama pilot…Set in the world of Wall Street power and money, the project centers on Jackson (Charlie Cox), a smart, sophisticated hedge fund trader. Cusack will play Ted, a cynical former Wall Street trader who left the business.

Graceland (USA)

Carmine Giovinazzo…and Jon Sklaroff…have landed recurring roles on USA Network‘s police drama Graceland. Giovinazzo will play Sid Markham, the head of LAPD’s Gang Task Force. Sid is more mind than muscle and uses his intelligence and ability to read people as a way to build relationships and close cases — but that doesn’t mean he’s not prone to acts of violence here and there…Sklaroff will play Fritz, who has has made his living in the vilest way possible: through human trafficking. He uses intimidation and brutality to keep “his property” in line. The depravity of his operation leaves the team reeling.

Survivor’s Remorse (Starz)

Jessie T. Usher, Ronreaco Lee, Erica Ash, Tichina Arnold, and Teyonah Parris have signed on to Starz’s Survivor’s Remorse, a half-hour scripted comedy series…Story follows Cam Calloway (Usher), a basketball phenom in his early 20s who is thrust into the limelight after signing a multimillion-dollar contract with a pro team. Cam, along with his cousin and confidant Reggie Vaughn (Lee), move to Georgia to start Cam’s journey to success. The two confront the challenges of carrying opportunistic family members and their strong ties to the impoverished community that they come from. Ash…will play M-Chuck, Cam Calloway’s sister. Arnold…will play Cassie, Cam’s mother; and Parris…will play Reggie’s wife Missy.

Sober Companion (Fox)

Dorian Brown…and Mouzam Makkar…have landed female leads in Fox comedy pilot Sober Companion…Sober Companion centers on Robert (Nick Frost), a charming but self-destructive attorney who finds his world turned upside down when a court-appointed sober companion (Justin Long) takes control of his life…Brown…will play Cate, Robert’s ex-wife and probably still the love of his life. Makkar…will play Alex, Robert’s competitive, self-confident sister. Mallory Mahoney also has joined the cast as JoanJett, Robert and Cate’s young daughter.

Good Session (CBS)

Ana Nogueira…has booked a series regular role on CBS’ single-camera comedy pilot Good Session…Nogueira will play Abby, a lovable mess who is always changing herself to suit the personality of her latest male suitor.
