The Good Wife, Legends of Tomorrow, The Walking Dead, and other TV productions have made recent TV show casting, TV movie casting, and TV directing news. These shows and movies air on AMC, Netflix, and BBC.

Andy Karl is joining the cast of NBC’s long-running “Law & Order: SVU” as a new recurring character

Karl will play Sgt. Mike Dodds, who is the son of Deputy Chief William Dodds, played by Peter Gallagher. The new addition to the cast comes after the exit of series regular Danny Pino, whose character Amaro left the show at the end of the show’s sixteenth season.

The Path (Hulu)

Stephanie Hsu has been tapped for a season-long recurring role opposite Aaron Paul and Michelle Monaghan in Hulu original drama series, The Path (formerly titled The Way)…The Path examines a couple, Eddie (Paul) and Sarah Cleary (Monaghan) at the center of a controversial movement struggling with relationships, marriage and power, with each episode taking an in-depth look at what it means to choose between the life we live and the life we want. Hsu…will play Joy, the flirty teenage niece of Eddie and Sarah.

Billions (Showtime)

Rob Morrow (Numb3rs) has booked a recurring role opposite Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis in the Showtime drama series Billions…Morrow…will play Adam DeGiulio, counselor to the U.S. Attorney General. A senior advisor, DeGuilio is smart, powerful, and highly politically aware.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream (BBC)

The Theory Of Everything’s Maxine Peake will star as Titania with Matt Lucas (Paddington, Bridesmaids) as Bottom, John Hannah (Four Weddings And A Funeral) as Theseus, Eleanor Matsuura (The Lady In The Van) as Hippolyta and newcomer Hiran Abeysekera as Puck.

Also, stage veteran Elaine Paige will return to TV to play Mistress Quince. The rest of the cast is rounded out by Richard Wilson, Bernard Cribbins, Javone Prince and Fisayo Akinade.

The Good Wife (CBS)

Vanessa Williams has booked a recurring role for the upcoming seventh season of CBS’ The Good Wife. She’ll play Courtney Boalt, an extremely successful, self-made businesswoman who is potentially interested in backing Peter Florrick’s (Chris Noth) campaign for President. In the process, she meets Eli Gold (Alan Cumming), sparking a mutual attraction.

Legends of Tomorrow (The CW)

Stephanie Corneliussen will join the show for a multiple-episode arc as Valentina Vostok, a beautiful and brainy Russian scientist who the time-traveling heroes will meet at the height of the Cold War.

Suspecting her of being in cahoots with the series’ Big Bad Vandal Savage (Casper Crump), The Atom (Brandon Routh) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) must fight for her affections in order to suss out her true loyalties.

The Walking Dead (AMC)

Tom Payne…will play Paul “Jesus” Monroe

He is a former member of the Hilltop Colony, but eventually becomes a trusted adviser to Rick in Alexandria. He is known for his strong sense of logic and justice.

He is also a major player in the war that breaks out in the comics between the residents of Alexandria and The Saviors, led by the villainous Negan.

In addition to Payne and Berkeley, the hit zombie apocalypse show recently promoted four actors to series regulars. Tovah Feldshuh, Alexandra Breckenridge and Austin Nichols all played residents of Alexandria in season five, but will return as regulars for season six.

Lennie James, who plays Morgan, was also promoted to series regular after a handful of appearances.
