War of the Worlds, Let the Right One In, Stranger Things, and other TV productions have made recent TV show casting, TV movie casting, and TV directing news. These shows and movies air on MTV, TNT, and Netflix. Beware of spoilers in these casting announcements.

Sadie Sink has been cast as Max, a girl that is confident and tough on the exterior. Max is a tom boy whose past is complicated, causing her to be suspicious of her surroundings and those in it.

Dacre Montgomery has been cast as Billy, Max’s step-brother. Billy is older than Max and is confident like she is but is unpredictable and volatile. Billy likes other guys’ girlfriend, especially stealing them at his leisure.

The Good Wife Spinoff (CBS)

Delroy Lindo has been cast as Robert Boseman. Boseman uses Diane Lockhart’s escalating financial trouble to secure Lockhart’s client base and law talent.

Let the Right One In (TNT)

Thomas Kretschmann has been cast as Inspector Eriksson. Eriksson is “a foreign police officer who partners up with the FBI, who’s been on the trail of Eli and her protector and enabler for a decade, and thinks they have killed over 100 victims. He has been a few steps behind his quarry all along, having followed the exsanguination murderers across Europe to North America. He knows their methods, but does not yet know their faces and names.”

Benjamin Wadsworth has been cast as Henry. Henry is the main male protagonist in the Let the Right One In. Henry is 16 years old, lonely, shy, and bullied at high school. When Henry meets Eli, a female vampire of unknown age and origin, his life is changed forever. Henry new neighbor, though powerful, is also extremely dangerous.

War of the Worlds (MTV)

The TV adaptation of the H.G. Wells’ alien invasion novel will be written by Andrew Cochran.

First published in 1898, the novel terrified readers of the Victorian era with its account of an invasion of hostile creatures from Mars who moved across the English landscape in bizarre metal transports, using deadly heat rays to destroy buildings and annihilate all life in their path.
