TV Casting: Z NATION, LEWIS AND CLARK, Angela Bassett in AMERICAN HORROR STORY: HOTEL

Z Nation, Lewis and Clark, American Horror Story: Hotel, and other TV productions have made recent TV show casting, TV movie casting, and TV directing news. These shows and movies air on Syfy, HBO, and FX.

Lewis And Clark (HBO)

Brendan Fletcher (Gracepoint), James Cutler (Kick- Ass 2), Rob Aramayo, Devin Harjes (Daredevil, Gotham), Tim Plester, Tyson Ritter, and David Wilmot have been cast as members of the Corps of Discovery, the expeditionary group led by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, played by Casey Affleck and Matthias Schoenaerts, respectively.

The HBO miniseries follows the epic journey of the Corps of Discovery and its captains, Lewis (Affleck) and Clark (Schoenaerts), who traverse uncharted territory on a mission to deliver President Jefferson’s message of sovereignty as they search for his fabled all-water route to the Pacific.

Josh Stewart (Criminal Minds) and Parker Croft (Once Upon A Time) have been cast…in HBO miniseries Lewis And Clark.

Stewart…will play Ruben Field, a Kentucky woodsman who will assist Lewis and Clark in every aspect of their journey. Croft…is George Shannon, the youngest and greenest member of the expedition.

Shadowhunters (ABC Family)

Alberto Rosende (Blue Bloods) and Emeraude Toubia (Tu Dia Alegre) have joined the cast of Shadowhunters

Rosende will play Simon, Clary Fray’s long-time best friend, whose loyalty and feelings for her are tested as he fights alongside her on an epic journey. Toubia is Isabelle, an exotic-looking, model-beautiful Shadowhunter. A trained fighter who can kick-ass in high-heels, Isabelle’s one weakness is her choice in men – always going for the bad boy.

Masters Of Sex (Showtime)

Heléne Yorke, who recurred heavily on Season 1, is returning for the upcoming third season of the period drama. Yorke plays Jane Martin, the seemingly unassuming hospital secretary who became Virginia Johnson’s (Lizzy Caplan) first major recruit for her sex study with Dr. William Masters (Michael Sheen). Jane went on to star in the video footage for the study, earning the affection of the aspiring filmmaker hired to shoot it, Lester (Kevin Christy).

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson (FX)

Kenneth Choi will play Judge Lance Ito as a regular in the miniseries

Ito made judicial and television history with his controversial decision to allow cameras in the courtroom for the OJ Simpson murder trial, turning the proceedings into a TV spectacle.

American Horror Story: Hotel (FX)

Angela Bassett is returning for the latest installment of FX’s anthology creepshow.

No word yet on her character.

Z Nation (Syfy)

Matt Cedeño (Devious Maids) has been cast as a series regular for the second season of Syfy zombie drama Z Nation…He will play Vasquez, a mysterious, rugged bounty hunter with questionable motives who joins the team of zombie-fighting heroes.

Heroes Reborn (NBC)

Francesca Eastwood (Jersey Boys) and Pruitt Taylor Vince (True Blood, The Mentalist) have been cast in recurring roles on NBC’s upcoming event series Heroes Reborn….details about Eastwood and Vince’s characters are being kept under wraps, but I hear that Vince will play an unassuming but persuasive guy and Eastwood will play a manipulative young woman.
