New posters unveiled for upcoming comic based TV series. Business is booming in the market for comic book adaptation, with competing titles emerging on the small screen even as the “joint universe” concept goes wide on the silver screen. A more crowded field means more competition for buzz marketing, and to that end, various networks and studios have begun to roll-out promotional materials for their upcoming projects.

First up: ABC released a poster for its recently confirmed Agent Carter series, set to join the network’s other Marvel title, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Latest press release for Agent Carter:

“Marvel’s Agent Carter,” starring Captain America’s Hayley Atwell follows the story of Peggy Carter. It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life–Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” along with the short “Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.”

The CW has two DC titles set to join its roster, iZombie & The Flash. iZombie comes from Robert Thomas & Diane Ruggiero (Veronica Mars), and is loosely based on a Vertigo title by Chris Roberson and Mike Allred. The Flash is not only a spin-off of CW and DC comics stablemate, Arrow, but shares its creative talent, in the form executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. Both series are expected to be added to the CW’s 2014-2015 schedule.
