Syfy is bringing back 12 Monkeys

12 Monkeys, based on Universal’s Terry Gilliam film and starring Aaron Stanford and Amanda Schull, hails from Universal Cable Productions (like Hunters) and will return in 2016. The series continued to gain viewers with its March 6 episode, which attracted 1.5 million total, up 6 percent compared with the previous four weeks. Airing on Fridays, the sci-fi drama is also performing well with three days of delayed viewing (up 104 percent).

“We are absolutely committed to 12 Monkeys, and have been incredibly impressed by the outstanding critical and audience praise the series has earned,” Syfy president Dave Howe said. “The talent both on- and offscreen has delivered a series that has us all on the edge of our seats, providing exactly the smart, exciting storytelling Syfy is known for.”

Mom (CBS)

Mike & Molly (CBS)

2 Broke Girls (CBS)

CBS announced today that MOM, MIKE & MOLLY and 2 BROKE GIRLS have been renewed for the 2015-2016 broadcast season.

MOM, the critically acclaimed comedy starring Anna Faris and multiple Emmy Award winner Allison Janney, is the fastest growing returning series on television. Currently in its second season, it is up +42% in viewers (11.89m), +16% in adults 18-49 (2.9/09), and +31% in adults 25-54 (4.2/11), compared to a year ago. In its Thursday (8:30-9:00 PM) time period, MOM ranked first in viewers, adults 18-49 (tie) and adults 25-54. It continues to perform strongly since moving to 9:30 PM, improving the time period in all key measures.

MIKE & MOLLY, currently in its fifth season, starring Billy Gardell and Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Melissa McCarthy, ranks first in its Monday (8:30-9:00 PM) time period in viewers (10.35m) and adults 25-54 (3.7/09), and second in adults 18-49 (2.5/09). Compared to the year ago time period, MIKE & MOLLY is up +20% in viewers and +6% in adults 25-54.

2 BROKE GIRLS, currently in its fourth season starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs, kicks off CBS’s resurgent Monday lineup at 8:00 PM, averaging 9.58 million viewers, up +3% in the time period over “How I Met Your Mother” and its own year ago performance.

THE BIG BANG THEORY, television’s #1 comedy, is renewed through the 2016-2017 season as part of a multi-year broadcast agreement that was announced last year.
