Underworld: Rise of the Lycans Trailer

The first Underworld was mediocre, the second Underworld film was horrible and wasn’t worth the film the movie was housed on. The first trailer for the third Undewrworld film, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, actually looks good. Who knew that could happen with an Underworld film? Then again, the trailer for Jumper was good as well. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans does have the presence of Rhona Mitra, who is far more athletic and intimidating than Kate Beckinsale. (Update: Underworld: Rise of the Lycans will be released on DVD or Blu-ray soon.

The trailer looks sweet but what’s up with the Max Payne music?! I like that Mitra will have a sex scene, but let’s hope it’s not the lame stomach-humping that went on in Underworld 2!

Underworld 2 was garbage, including that sex scene.

I hope the sex scene is better in this film as well, maybe like 300’s. :)

Maybe they assembled the trailer before the Max Payne trailers and commercials were created or people just think that song kicks ass. I was more concerned with Rhona, the action and the story.

I love vampire movies too. I’ll stick with the first Blade, Blade the Series, Vampire Hunter D, Blood: The Last Vampire, etc. Not Underworld or the last two Blades though.

I must’ve been in a music mood when I watched this. My focus will be all Rhona and action come movie time though.

I partially agree with Trench, I enjoyed the first Underworld, honestly remember nothing of 2 except the lame sex scene. Maybe I’ll see if I reviewed them in the wayback days and post them to my site. I enjoyed all the Blades, the first is the best by far. Vampire Hunter D rocks.

The first Underworld had a few cool moments but that’s all. Watch that movie, sit back and count how many times doors are opened and closed. Then count how many times violence is cut away from. BS!

My brain must still be hazy from meds! I take it back!

Re-read my reviews of the Underworld(s) and my opinion of 1 was very meh, its okay but sloppy story-telling. 2 was actually a more positive review. Admittedly, it was only good to me b/c of the unrelenting gorefest and not for story and definitely not for acting.

I don’t think I’ll go back and watch either…I’ll just wait for Mitra to amp up the next installment.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans was actually the best in the series. I was surprised it was good.

I lament not seeing it in theaters. Who can blame me for not though after part 2 was actually worse than part 1?

I couldn’t blame you; the Part 2 stomach humping was pretty pathetic.

Let’s not forget the direct shotgun blast to the stomach at point blank range that had no effect, no splattering, no blood loss, nothing. Brilliant.
