UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: A NEW DIMENSION: Michael Jai White joins Damme, Lundgren

Michael Jai White, Universal Soldier: The Return

Michael Jai White is joining Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren in Universal Soldier: A New Dimension, the fourth Universal Soldier film. Universal Soldier: A New Dimension follows the events from Universal Soldier: Regeneration. Michael Jai White was in the first Universal Solider film very briefly at its beginning and in Universal Soldier: The Return. John Hyams, whom directed Universal Soldier: Regeneration, is returning to direct Universal Soldier: A New Dimension.

Foresight Unlimited is reporting an extreme abundance of pre-sales for Universal Soldier: A New Dimension, no doubt do to the quality, action-packed nature, and reception of Universal Soldier: Regeneration.

Pre-Berlin deals closed in the UK (Optimum), Germany (Telepool), Australia (Transmission), Japan (Nikkatsu), Taiwan (SSG), South Korea (Joy n Contents Group), Russia (Daro), Scandinavia (Mis.Label), English-speaking Canada (eOne) and Benelux (Les Filmes D’Elysee).

Rights also went in Latin America (California), the Middle East (Shooting Stars), Thailand (IPA), Turkey (Mars), South Africa (Nu Metro), Eastern Europe (SPI), China (HGC), India (Superfine), Indonesia (PT Amero) and Malaysia (Ram Indo). Sony holds US rights.

I still do not think Universal Soldier: A New Dimension needs to be in 3D (it will mostly be STV and how many people have a 3D HD TV yet?) but if its going to be in 3D, lets hope they use James Cameron’s 3D tech. Universal Soldier: A New Dimension will begin filming next month. What do you think of Michael Jai White joining the cast of Universal Soldier: A New Dimension?
