UNLOCKED (2017) International Movie Trailer: CIA Interrogator Noomi Rapace Discovers a Terrorist Plot
Unlocked Trailer
Michael Apted‘s Unlocked (2017) movie trailer stars Noomi Rapace, Orlando Bloom, Toni Collette, John Malkovich, and Michael Douglas. Unlocked‘s plot synopsis: “Once one of the CIA’s top interrogators, Alice Racine’s (Noomi Rapace) career was sidelined when she failed “to unlock” a prisoner in time to save the lives of dozens of innocent people from a terrorist attack in Paris. Now leading a quiet life in London as a caseworker, Alice is unexpectedly called back into action when the CIA apprehends a suspect believed to have direct knowledge of another imminent attack.”
There is some great action in this trailer and impressive sequences. They did not need to give away, however, the main first act plot twist to intrigue the viewer. It worked but they could have been clever and told the viewer something from the plot synopsis in the press release instead. It might not have been as effective but the viewer of this trailer will now be waiting, during the first act of the film, for that specific plot twist to occur.
Unlocked looks as though it exists above your standard, mindless action film destined for home and/or video-on-demand release. Whether its Taken-good is another question. That depends on the writer and the script he created.
Unlocked also stars Akshay Kumar, Aymen Hamdouchi, Adelayo Adedayo, Brian Caspe, Tosin Cole, Michael Epp, Kevin Shen, Jessica Boone, Makram Khoury, and Lee Nicholas Harris.
