VIXEN: Animated Short Series Renewed for a Second Season [CW Seed]

Vixen Season Two

CW Seed Renews Vixen for a Second Season. With her live-action debut on Arrow to happen soon, the Vixen animated short series was just picked up for a second season on CW Seed. The renewal comes weeks after Megalyn Echinkunwoke is expected to debut on Arrow next month.

According to ComicBook.com, the news of the renewal came out during the Television Critics Association presentation by The CW President Mark Pedowitz. Pedowitz also mentioned there were more possibilities for the character to go beyond that, remarking, “Hopefully that character can spin itself out or if not, join the Legends [of Tomorrow].” The only thing we know for certain is that she will be appearing on Arrow later this season.

The CW Seed launched Vixen last summer in an effort to expand the Arrowverse in other platforms. The online counterpart also developed a few other series in their library, including Play It Again, Dick, LA Rangers, and Husbands.

The new season will consist of seven episodes to come out sometime this year. There hasn’t been a date to when Vixen returns, but it’s likely it will come out after Arrow finishes it’s fourth season. Are you glad by this news of Vixen returning to CW Seed?
