VIXEN: Megalyn Echikunwoke’s Thoughts on Playing a Live-Action Vixen

Vixen Megalyn Echikunwoke

Megalyn Echikunwoke Discusses Possibility of a Live-Action Vixen. By choosing a voice actress like Megalyn Echikunwoke for the CW Seed’s new animated show Vixen, it also seems that they are also opening the possibility of having her play the character in live-action form.

If Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin can play Arrow and The Flash in animated form, then why can’t Megalyn Echikunwoke play Vixen on either of their shows as a live-action character? Speaking with ComicBook, the actress conveyed her thoughts on jumping from animation to live-action.

I don’t know, to be honest. Like I said, I’ve kind of been thrown into this. I’m hoping that they have a really strong point-of-view about what they want to do but at the end of the day, what I’m learning is that it’s all about what the fans want.   I think that was kind of the impetus behind hiring me, just to have that option. Of course, we don’t know and I think it’s all based on how well this animated series does and how rabid the fans are for more Vixen. I’d love to play Vixen in live action; I’m into it.

It seems like Megalyn Echikunwoke is open for her character to appear on other DC TV shows on The CW. However, it remains to be seen if Vixen will gain a following with audiences. If the animated series does well, maybe the network should consider bringing her into live-action form. What do you guys think? Should Vixen appear as a live-action character in the DC TV universe?
