It comes to no surprise that The Walking Dead gets picked up for another season due to its success on TV and social media. Scott M. Gimple will continue on as showrunner for the upcoming season of AMC’s number one hit show. This early pick-up also helps as The Walking Dead expands the franchise with a spin-off series in the works to release in 2016. Expect the sixth season to arrive on October 2015. Are all of you glad that there is more Walking Dead in our near future?

The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Emily Kinney, Danai Gurira, and Chad Coleman. Don’t forget to watch the season premiere of The Walking Dead on October 12 at 9PM only on AMC.
