War for the Planet of the Apes Final Trailer and Poster

20th Century Fox has released the second movie trailer and movie poster for War for the Planet of the Apes (2017). War for the Planet of the Apes may be the best Planet of the Apes film-to-date behind the original Charlton Heston film. Each film in the current Planet of the Apes film series has built upon what worked best in the former film. That trend looks as though it has continued with War for the Planet of the Apes.

In each film, the apes have been increasing shown to have more humanity than the human beings that would see them dead. In  War for the Planet of the Apes, it seems as though both races have been pushed to the point of possible extinction. With their backs against the wall (whether their backs are actually against the wall or not), there is now no other choice but to fight.

The current Planet of the Apes films emphasize heart and the emotional motivations of its characters over explosions, gore, and cheap thrills. I’m looking forward to War for the Planet of the Apes and the continuation of this series.
