What did you think?: A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)

Now that you have seen A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), what did you think of it? Was it better than the 1984 original? *snickers* Was the acting phenomenal, at the top of the twenty-year-olds-in-high school field? I heard that we get to see some of the backstory of Freddy Kruger, the Springwood Slasher. Was it realized in a fitting way? Better than what we saw at the beginning of Freddy vs. Jason? Too bad they screwed up bringing that script to the screen. It was one of the best horror scripts I have ever read. On one site, someone is predicting a huge drop in box office after A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)‘s opening weekend? Do you agree? Is he wrong? Did the plot to the film have holes? Leave your thoughts below.

  • Hollywood, in general, just sticks to these ninety minute conventional horror films that do not try anything risky. Me and my gf' enjoyed the show, but there were not enough scares or scary scenes. I would have loved to have seen a ten minute drawn out battle between Freddy and one of the kids in the nightmare land, or having one of the kids at least fighting back early. I did like the sexual abuse plotline though. This made the series more logical, in my humble opinion.

  • The abuse angle might make the film worth seeing. Do not tell me any more about it.

    Euro-horror is where its at.

That's the Dream Warriors. Maybe next time.

  • I haven't watched it yet, but I will watch it with my friends soon. Although I have known the storyline, but a remake movie always make me curious. Will it better than the original version or What will they give in this newest version. After the Friday the 13th, this is the next remake classic horror movie I want to watch.

This movie was awesome. All of it. One thing thoe, the dreams could have been wayy creepier. in the older movies freddy fucks with his victims pretty hard before he kills them.

the first death is the best in this movie.

  • I've heard different reports about the movie. Looks like I will have to check it out for myself.

  • I just watched it. It sucked. Not scary at all. Some of it was actually boring.
