Patrick Stewart Says Xavier Will Be Different in The Wolverine 3. Fans have expressed their excitement over the return of Sir Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier in The Wolverine 3 with Hugh Jackman. However, we may be seeing an entirely different Professor X in the new movie.
ITV recently caught up with the actor who spoke on his role in the upcoming film. Thinking whether this would be the last time we see the actor in the role, he said, “I would imagine this is probably the end of this franchise for me. But the thing about science fiction and fantasy is that you can never, ever say it’s the end, it’s over.” The follow-up to The Wolverine though will be the last for Hugh Jackman as the actor has explained that this will be the last time he will play the clawed mutant. Stewart did add that we may see “a very different Charles Xavier… nothing like the Charles Xavier you’ve seen in the past.”
It would be interesting to see how this all plays out once the James Mangold directed sequel comes out in theaters March 3, 2017. What do you guys think?
